Toshiba announces laptop that does not require 3D glasses
Japanese electronics maker announced laptop that does not require 3D glasses, scheduled for July this year.
.
Toshiba Dynabook Qosmio T851/D8CR says will be the first laptop of its kind in the world. Until now, Toshiba has announced the launch of the device only in Japan.
Dynabook uses a technology designed to avoid the need to wear special glasses to view a 3D image. Using the "face tracking" and "active lens, laptop can track the user's face, recognizing the position of his eyes to adjust the picture accordingly.
The laptop can also display, 2D content in 3D at the same time, on the same screen. This is accomplished by using active lens technology, which controls the polarization of the screen.
Toshiba says that "Active Lens can be started and stopped quickly and locally, which means that individual parts LED panel can provide 3D images.
As the line laptops and TV set from Toshiba World Conference in Rome earlier this month, Dynabook convert 2D content to 3D in real time using an image processor called Spursengine.
