Acer announces Web Surfing Monitor Station

Acer has announced that its new Monitor, Web Surfing Station, capable of web browsing without using a PC, will be available next month for £ 299.

Web Surf Station is a PC monitor or DX241H that allows users to surf the Internet and access multimedia content without connecting to a PC, all using an integrated network interface and its own operating system and browser Web site, incorporated.

Web Surf Station is a 24-inch TFT screen with full HD 1920x1080 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio and contrast ratio of 80,000:1. Acer says that the response time of 2ms is DX241H.

The monitor will provide VGA and HDMI ports, Audio In / Out, USB port, card reader, an Ethernet port and WiFi. The monitor is also equipped with integrated speakers.
