The European Commission announced Wednesday that it canceled the warning launched against bio Spanish cucumbers, suspected to have caused a potentially deadly bacteria E. coli contamination.
"The latest tests carried out in Spain and Germany on cucumbers produced in Spain have revealed the presence of the bacterium E. coli strain 0104 and annulled the Commission therefore launched at European level alert, " the EC said in a statement.
The Commission informed all Member States of this decision, made public in Madrid, Ministry of Health immediately.
