The full 3D map of the universe known
The full 3D map of the universe known. Astronomers have succeeded in mapping the 380 million light years. The full 3D map of the universe was made known by British astronomers. The map, based on the principle effect of redshift (Doppler effect), extends over a distance of 380 million light years.
The creators of the map, a team of astronomers from the University of Portsmouth, it took 10 years to complete, according to Daily Mail.
Astronomers have mapped in detail previously hidden areas behind the Milky Way to better understand the impact that our galaxy is moving relative to thethe rest of the of the universe.
Karen Masters of Portsmouth said Universtitatea map presentation that brings a completely new and wonderful aspect of the known universe.
"Light a redshift galaxies moving through expansion of the universe. The farther a galaxy is, the redshift is higher, " said Karen Masters, adding a third dimension that is vital to a map of the universe to allow cosmologists to study the area in detail.
