USB 3.0 supported natively
.
Competition in USB 3.0 controller is getting worse. But many manufacturers, such as Texas Instruments, woke up too late. Because USB 3.0 connectivity will soon be natively supported by AMD and Intel. AMD has already adopted, in platform chipsets for Fusion, A75 and A70M. And certainly that Bulldozer will be launched this summer with all USB 3.0.
At Intel, but things gonna last. Change will take place probably in 2012, with the launch of processors Ivy Bridge. The delay occurs because Intel has chosen to promote technology Thunderbolt, Apple brought a Firewire's successor. So Intel motherboards will still use additional USB 3.0 controllers.
