Human Media Lab Queen's University in Canada has developed a smartphone called PaperPhone. It works exactly as you would expect a smartphone to function normally only the screen is made ​​of flexible electronic paper - E Ink. Roel Vertegaal, director, says this is the future in the field.

PaperPhone is now only a prototype smartphone. The screen is very thin and has a diagonal of 9.5 inches (~ 3.7 inch). Drive phone is not, as you probably thought, to touch. All functions of a smartphone that is capable of bending the paper can be called flexible. Below is a video demonstration:

The project has a dedicated page on the website of the Queen's University laboratory. On May 10th, meaning tomorrow, Dr. Vertegaal will reveal in the Association of Computing Machinery's CHI 2011 (Computer Human Interaction) flexible computer based on the same technology.
