U.S. specialty forums, Paleofuture offers a unique collection of views from 1900, with the theme of 2000. Picture postcards were made by "Hilderbrands", a famous German company producing chocolate, which still exists today. In the twentieth century, no one knew what to expect from the next century. Time artists expressed their vision through art and tried to anticipate some of the "miracles" today.

People anticipated the last century and the evolution of media, only a few years after Graham Bell invented the telephone (1876). Also, travel in distant lands, such as the North Pole, were imagined as key concerns of our contemporaries.
