Bulldozer comes only in September
.
Even when you should launch Bulldozer processors, AMD least postpone them. That happened in early June, and unfortunately this is happening now. New release date, hopefully the final is September 19, 2011. And they changed the offer models no longer promised in May, and tested so far.
Specifically we will initially receive two octa cores Zambezi, FX 8150 and FX-8100, with 3.6 GHz frequency and 2.8 GHz (4.2 GHz and TurboCore 3.7 GHz, respectively), a hex core FX-6100 3.3 GHz (TurboCore to 3.9 GHz) and a Quad FX-4100 3.6 GHz (3.8 GHz TurboCore). All have promised an unlocked multiplier, 1 MB L2 cache per core and 8MB L3 other.
Compatible socket AM3 +, integrates a dual channel DDR3 memory controller in 1866 MHz, and have TDP 95 W (except FX-8150, which up to 125 W). And just at the beginning of 2012 we will probably see other models to replace or complement them.
And in other news, later in 2012 Bulldozer (after apparently short-lived) will be replaced by Piledriver, which will bring a very important change: it will integrate the entire north bridge, changing the default socket, the FM2 . Which clearly will not be compatible with AM3 +. But we are curious how it will be similar to the Llano skFM1 now used.
Enjoy !
